Who: The girls of Konoha, Neiji, Dezzi, Piper?
When: A month or so after prom, so summer ish?
What: A 'cultural exchange'.

Tsunade had served her father with a letter informing him of the alternate realm's request for his daughter, the nascent diplomat in training, to attend a cultural exchange event for young women. It had been phrased in a way that he was not allowed to deny the request, and Neiji was cleared as the necessary security for the Hyuuga heir.

Neiji, naturally, was thrilled.

The invitation to everyone else, civilian and ninja alike, was phrased more along the lines of 'the alternate world Dezzi invites the young lady of the house to attend an evening of fun'. Most parents agreed given the excitement of their daughters. How not after all? A larger event that allowed many youngsters to experience things beyond the portal was rather amazing. The general madness of any group suddenly deciding to ALL GO SHOPPING for things inspired by things Dezzi had worn, well, there was going to be a hell of a lot of girls in a wide array of 'this could be right, right?' presenting themselves at the gate at the appointed time.

In addition to the Hyuuga man, there was also Hana, of the Inu clan and Kurenai, Hinata's team teacher, reporting as 'chaperones'. The 'knuckleheads' Hana usually ran with, the triplet nindogs, were home barring Bo, the only female.

It was a girls' night after all.

Tenten actually had a genuine alt world babydoll tee on, borrowed from Hinata, and it fit that cheerful brunette far better honestly. Acid washed pink and purple looked lovely and the graphic of fireworks and Party Time suited her...and probably was the reason Neiji was far less grumpy about the only guy going. His milky eyes cousin had possibly planned it that way. The more chance her cousin had to consider romancing AWAY from Lee the better for all involved. She wasn't going to apologize for introducing Tenten to bubblegum though in the least. It just went with the general atmosphere today, honest!

Hinata slipped through ahead of everyone, mainly to check if Dezzi was ready? "The girls are all gathered, you rented somewhere for the sleepover, yes?" she grinned. After all this was FAR too many people to crash in Dezi's apartment.

She glanced around then sat down after a moment, "you d-don't sleep here right?" When they had missions they were gone several days!

"No, but I'll come after class and dance until dad gets home, if he's home. If he's not sometimes I come here for a while before going home, and sometimes I see if Tsume will let me stay over in Konoha."

"Oh g-good," she nodded. "I k-know you have friends and p-places to stay but we worry when we're g-gone!"

"You shouldn't." she promised, "I mean, not more than you worry when you're with me. I...really do try to be safer than I used to. Kiba shouldn't go grey before he's, like, really old."

"We don't l-like you being alone!" she tried to explain? Dezzi had a lot of friends but the team felt really close to her!

She beamed, dropped at a chair, missed it by a good inch, and laughed from the floor, "I know! I don't like it either, but if I went with you we'd probably all die."

'N-no, civilians do not go on m-missions!" Obviously! "As a diplomat you c-can have assignments but you will have guards!" she smiled slightly, offering Dezzi a hand up.

"Exactly." she agreed, taking the hand and making it into the chair this time. "I hope they always assign Kiba, because it'd be so awkward to have to explain to him that he can't come with me."

"Once you are full grown and p-part of Konoha you will have Anbu." Which Kiba was not! Yet anyway!

She thought about it for a while, keeping quiet until a server asked if they wanted a drink - Dezzi ordered hot milk with vanilla - and then quieting again until after the drink(s) came back. "How hard is it to be Anbu? Because I want Kiba."

"It is s-several levels above us," she admitted quietly, sipping her own water. "They are the b-best."

[mommahatedme]

"Hmmm." she nodded slowly and sipped at her drink, "Okay. Putting a pin in that until I can talk to Kiba about it. Obviously he needs to train more."

That actually got a giggle, finally, "w-we're always training!"

"Well, yeah, but...Kiba," she laughed, "sometimes he thinks he's already peak, but we both know he's got more in him."

"He only s-says that to other people! His t-team knows better!"

[mommahatedme]

"Huh." she thought about that for a moment, "Well...maybe he's posturing for me?"

"Everyone," she chuckled softly. "And you, he f-flexes for you." And bonus poses!

[mommahatedme]

"Yeaaahhhhhhh..." her eyes got a little distant for a moment, thinking about Kiba showing off for her. Poses and flexing and all those muscles...

Hinata covered her mouth and giggled? Of course she did! You are v-very smitten!"

[mommahatedme]

"Hinata," Dezzi looked at her best friend, seriously, "I am crazy about him. I meant what I said to Jonathan. I am in love with Kiba. When we met I thought he was cute, but annoying. Pretty soon he was just cute. Now? I know he's pretty close to the perfect guy for me. As perfect as anyone can be."

That had her properly beaming! And anyone from the village was also smiling and murmuring! It was nice to hear! "And he adores you! I d-don't think a kunoichi c-could distract him even with an attraction jutsu!"

[mommahatedme]

"I hope not! Because I'd try to bite her, I'd get my ass kicked, and I'd end up crying all over you." But not on Neiji again. Probably. It depended entirely on if he was there or not.

She giggled again, amused, "it would b-be in the field! Or tests, but he'll b-be immune!"

"Oh, good." sue her, she expected girls to try to steal her Kiba from her.

"He w-was already good at ignoring t-them," she admitted, "they are related to illusions, we t-trained against those!"
