Who: Team 8, Dezzi, her world
When: End of first college year.
What: Exams

"...so we can't just find the answers?" Kiba groaned, flopping on the rooftop with his lunchbox on his chest. "I mean, that's the best answer right?"

"Things are different here," Shino noted, glancing at him briefly, judged by the shifting of his glasses! "Cheating is not a skill here. You should know these things from class."

Kiba lifted his head enough to glare at his teammate, "I know where the teacher keeps shit."

"Ahno..." Hinata winced.

"Ugh! I'm going to FAIL! Does that mean I'm kicked out of college and have to wait on the sidewalk all day?!" Kiba moaned, flopping his head back.

Hinata winced and patted his leg gently, "no, but you will need to repeat a c-class if you fail?"

"THAT'S WORSE!" Earth America History was so BORING. The others yeah he could scrape by without cheating but there was just no focus for him there. Even when there were battles he made his notes on how stupid it was and zoned back out! And they had so many leaders in so short a space!

"We will mourn your failure," Shino noted drily.

He lifted his head to glare at Shino again then groaned, "that's fair. Fuck I'm screwed. Could one of you clone technique me?" Take his test for him?

"That's cheating!" Hinata yelped.

"Team integrity!" he countered. He knew it wasn't going to fly but hey, he had to try. "I'll see if challenging the teacher to physical combat helps," he grumbled. It might? Who knew?

"Don't do that," Hinata sighed, "please. The teacher is a civilian!"

"Yeah yeah," he grumbled. "Sorry guys."

Shino snorted, "try reviewing notes before the test."

"I'll consolidate some notes for you!" Hinata beamed, launching from the roof to go find his classmates.

"...fuck," he grumbled.

"Another camera out," Shino noted. Look a wild subject change!

"A flying one," Hinata blinked after a check. "Sprained wing maybe!" she was grabbing more supplies to prep!

"Right..." she nodded firmly, "okay. I think that the flying students had more war questions, for the most part..."

"He remembers those b-better!" Hina was trying to stay positive! The fact he remembered them because of strategy arguments was beside the point!

"That's why we gave the easy questions to the harder to catch students." Dezzi agreed.

"How l-long did it take to think of all this?" she smiled.

"Started thinking about it after midterms." she admitted, "I've been refining for a while. I even got some time with your teacher from home," somewhere in the last year, home stopped being Chicago. Even if she still lived here most of the time, "and she helped me with some tactics."

"Ah," she winced. Yeah, Kiba's marks in some classes had not been ideal after that point. "I knew Kurenai-sensei was working with you..." but she'd thought it was tutoring on their world or some such!

Shino on the other hand, well, "there will be ramen later." He'd ensured catering for the evening.

"I want him to succeed." Dezzi said, knowing that success was possible for him but that he got in his own brains way like she did in her bodies. "So does Kurenai-sensei. So... this."

"Shino, you're the second best friend in the world, but only because Hinata comes first." Ramen! She practically had hearts for eyes.

"It is a very well c-considered plan," she smiled. "I'm sorry I didn't help s-sooner!" That was a failing on her part since Shino had noticed!

"Perfectly justified ranking." He shifted to catch the inbound winged student; wincing slightly. This one was not nearly as okay with being thrown.

Dezzi blinked, "Hinata...sweetie, you have your own studies going on. Kiba's my fiance. It's my job to help him out, too."

The student had one wing held out at an awkward angle and said, "Bad landing. On my shoulder. Ow."

"Yes," she blinked, "but we are a t-team!" So yes she was feeling a little bad.

Shino nodded and shifted immediately to set the kid on a table, "Hinata?"

"...heavy sprain," she noted after a moment of staring. "We can reduce swelling and bind to allow it to rest."

"Yes," she said, patiently, "and sometimes people have to do separate tasks to make the pack work. I got this."

The kid grinned at Hinata and said, "Good thing I don't have hollow bones, huh?"

"We will speak later, Dezzi," Hinata noted, in pure medic mode now. She couldn't divide her concentration when working with something new like a wing! "Hnnn? Yes, I could align all bone shards if your bones were but I would prefer to medivac you to Tsunade-sama in that case," she admitted, fingers working at the joint already.

Dezzi nodded and went back to studying. Hinata was busy, and Dezzi wasn't going to get in the way of work!

"Eh, my sister does have hollow bones? She sees a healing wizard when she breaks something."

She nodded absently to that information, filing it away, "Tsunade-sama is not a wizard as your world defines it, but the premier med-nin in the world. I am new so sealing breaks is not fully in my power yet."

"Fair enough!" he grinned again and sat still so the nice medic could finish fixing his arm.

Dezzi oooed over a near-miss Kiba had. She knew he'd get the girl, but that was a miss.

Reducing swelling and rather expert bandaging (sreiously a nin that couldn't bandage died young!), then she patted his shoulder gently, intensity fading back into her normal demeanor, "ahno, t-there, rest for a few days?"

"Yup." he agreed, "From here until the end of finals no flying, I promise."

"And heavy p-proteins," she smiled, stepping back. "Sorry our t-teammate jostled you!"

"Akamaru captured," Shino noted to Dezzi so she could get ready with a timer when he was tossed in!

"Totally worth it." the guy said before moving off to his own study group, chattering about the chase and capture.

"Thanks!" she said, getting her stopwatch out and waiting for her favourite nindog to enter the building.

She giggled softly and moved to watch the screens again, "did Akamaru intercept or w-was he hunted?" She'd been distracted!

Shino wiggled a hand back and forth slightly? Bit of both after all! And the nin-dog barked a laugh as he came in the window.

Dezzi laughed back at him as he hit the ground, and thumbed the stopwatch. "Five minutes!" she told Akamaru when Kiba was out of earshot again.

::Oh, he doesn't know that!:: happy pup was amused as hell! ::He'll be annoyed!

Hinata...knelt to wrap his annkles in bandaging and fishnet? Something to make things a bit more fair if Kiba decided to try tying him up instead! "Are you skewing the odds?" Shino teased lightly.

"AHNO!" ACK was she?!

"Bah, if Kiba didn't want things interesting," Dezzi said, "he should have studied sooner!" which got a roar of approval from the other students.

Shino looked at the others, then at Akamaru, arching an eyebrow..."I will refrain from suggestions," he decided, though it was utterly teasing in this case. This endeavor wasn't set up to be the kind of trap that more teammates could add!

Hinata giggled, scritching the nin-dogs chin once she was done wrapping, "v-very true!"
