Who: Team 8, Dezzi, her world
When: End of first college year.
What: Exams

"...so we can't just find the answers?" Kiba groaned, flopping on the rooftop with his lunchbox on his chest. "I mean, that's the best answer right?"

"Things are different here," Shino noted, glancing at him briefly, judged by the shifting of his glasses! "Cheating is not a skill here. You should know these things from class."

Kiba lifted his head enough to glare at his teammate, "I know where the teacher keeps shit."

"Ahno..." Hinata winced.

"Ugh! I'm going to FAIL! Does that mean I'm kicked out of college and have to wait on the sidewalk all day?!" Kiba moaned, flopping his head back.

Hinata winced and patted his leg gently, "no, but you will need to repeat a c-class if you fail?"

"THAT'S WORSE!" Earth America History was so BORING. The others yeah he could scrape by without cheating but there was just no focus for him there. Even when there were battles he made his notes on how stupid it was and zoned back out! And they had so many leaders in so short a space!

"We will mourn your failure," Shino noted drily.

He lifted his head to glare at Shino again then groaned, "that's fair. Fuck I'm screwed. Could one of you clone technique me?" Take his test for him?

"That's cheating!" Hinata yelped.

"Team integrity!" he countered. He knew it wasn't going to fly but hey, he had to try. "I'll see if challenging the teacher to physical combat helps," he grumbled. It might? Who knew?

"Don't do that," Hinata sighed, "please. The teacher is a civilian!"

"Yeah yeah," he grumbled. "Sorry guys."

Shino snorted, "try reviewing notes before the test."

"I'll consolidate some notes for you!" Hinata beamed, launching from the roof to go find his classmates.

"...fuck," he grumbled.

Hinata chuckled and took Dezzi's hand, "this was a good idea!"

Dezzi gave Hinata's a squeeze, "I think so too..." she said, watching him go until she couldn't even smell him anymore. "He's going to have so much fun...and I think that he'll learn things that are being yelled at him from running people."

"And he m-might remember people's names!" she laughed. "N-normally it's 'that guy' when he has classes and just knows scent!"

"I'm not going to count on that." she said, grabbing Shino's hand as well and dragging them both into the gym. She tried to subtly drop both ninja hands in a way that would let them brush against each other, buuuuut missed her opportunity and sulked (very briefly, and entirely internally) to herself.

"Okay! What besides pizza has shown up?"

Shino had learned the ratio if successful grans to non that kept Dezzi happy, so yes she got his hand on this round. But no they weren't going to stumble, it wasn't in their nature.

"Bags of i0ice!" Hinata giggled.

"I believe there's students with beverages inbound," Shino noted.

They weren't, but she couldn't help but try. She was, after all, very much on team "Hinata Needs Shino". "Okay, good. I did get some good drinks, and there should be desserts and things too. Also, you know, food that flirts with healthy."

"Just t-tell us where you need us!" Hinata smiled. "I think I'm f-first aid at need too?"

Shino nodded, "students will appreciate that."

"Yup! I've got plenty of bandages and stuff so you won't have to use your own supplies." She didn't expect more than bruises and scrapes, but she expected a lot of those. "Shino, can you help set up the TV? Some of the guys are wearing GoPros and streaming."

"May we have copies of the footage?" Shino asked, glancing toward the television. It would be useful to review so they could all practice aboiding cameras better! He expected Kiba would notice the surveillance gear within a few captures but, well...

"That's my plan, anyway." she agreed. Dezzi went to fuss with the seating, which was mostly huge pillows and some rugs, and let Shino get the streaming set up going. "I'm gonna watch those take-downs over and over myself."

Because...Kiba.

When other people started showing up (with food, drinks, and notes from class) she bounced around greeting them.

Most of the scenes were just showing normal running or hiding, currently, but there was always hope for future events! One of the kids set up a whiteboard with odds as a matter of course, bets taken in sugary products or jerky!

"Ahno, is Akamaru w-wearing a camera?" Hinata blinked, catching one camera set that was moving, well, too well.

"Uh huh." Dezzi called back, after placing her bet (Kiba, to win, four hours). "He suggested it, after we watched a movie with a guy wearing one."

"W-what is the rule is Kiba captures Akamaru?" she giggled.

"It would be an intelligent move," Shino mused, devating whether that meant it was going to occur to their partner or not.

"No rule." was the response, as Dezzi flopped on her favorite of the big pillows. "He doesn't get points for capturing Akamaru, but he also doesn't lose any. Really, it's about getting the information into his brain."

"I mean does Akamaru have to s-stay if he's brought here?" she laughed.

Shino started poking a stack of board games, nodding slightly, "it would remove the largest complication."

"Hmmm." she thought about it for a while, "Five minute penalty before he goes back?" she suggested, "I mean, without Akamaru on their side the others have no chance at all."

"That just means he'll t-trap Akamaru elsewhere!" she laughed. "Once he realizes!"

Shino was attempting to assemble Mousetrap now, trying to imagine who even created such a weird game but well, different world. "New bets on how long until Akamaru is removed from play," he suggested.

"On it!" said the whispy young thing hovering near the whiteboard. He took a look at the current odds, then started calling out new ones for Akamaru in a rapid pace.

"Yeah, probably, but he'll have to figure out how to trap Akamaru...which isn't easy, since they're partners."

"Yes," Hinata giggled. "Which will impact hunting time!"

"Hnnn," Shino agreed, glancing at the board, then the cameras a moment. One of which was now just a black screen, but not reading offline. "We may have inbound."

"Yup!" Dezzi grinned again, "Ohhh, yeah, you're right Shino...here he comes! I recognize that fabric pattern."

"He's running heavy," he mused, opening the window and...catching two tossed students.

"Double score!" Kiba cackled, heading off again.

Hinata chuckled and went over to check the new arrivals over. "We were stuck at a crosswalk," one admitted wryly.

Dezzi blew Kiba a kiss before going over to be another set of hands if Hinata needed them.

"Did he get the questions right?" she asked the students, a little worried if she was honest.

"One of them?" the other winced. "The right answer for the other was not 'some president guy with a meat word for a plan or something'."

Even Shino blinked at that a moment.

Dezzi mouthed a meat word for a plan silently, shook her head, and said, "At least he got one of them..."

"...Bay of Pigs invasion?" Shino offered, obviously hesitant with even that though.

Hinata shook her head, "probably um, ah, K-korean war?"

"Ah, barbecue," Shino nodded. It made more sense!
