Who: The girls of Konoha, Neiji, Dezzi, Piper?
When: A month or so after prom, so summer ish?
What: A 'cultural exchange'.
Tsunade had served her father with a letter informing him of the alternate realm's request for his daughter, the nascent diplomat in training, to attend a cultural exchange event for young women. It had been phrased in a way that he was not allowed to deny the request, and Neiji was cleared as the necessary security for the Hyuuga heir.
Neiji, naturally, was thrilled.
The invitation to everyone else, civilian and ninja alike, was phrased more along the lines of 'the alternate world Dezzi invites the young lady of the house to attend an evening of fun'. Most parents agreed given the excitement of their daughters. How not after all? A larger event that allowed many youngsters to experience things beyond the portal was rather amazing. The general madness of any group suddenly deciding to ALL GO SHOPPING for things inspired by things Dezzi had worn, well, there was going to be a hell of a lot of girls in a wide array of 'this could be right, right?' presenting themselves at the gate at the appointed time.
In addition to the Hyuuga man, there was also Hana, of the Inu clan and Kurenai, Hinata's team teacher, reporting as 'chaperones'. The 'knuckleheads' Hana usually ran with, the triplet nindogs, were home barring Bo, the only female.
It was a girls' night after all.
Tenten actually had a genuine alt world babydoll tee on, borrowed from Hinata, and it fit that cheerful brunette far better honestly. Acid washed pink and purple looked lovely and the graphic of fireworks and Party Time suited her...and probably was the reason Neiji was far less grumpy about the only guy going. His milky eyes cousin had possibly planned it that way. The more chance her cousin had to consider romancing AWAY from Lee the better for all involved. She wasn't going to apologize for introducing Tenten to bubblegum though in the least. It just went with the general atmosphere today, honest!
Hinata slipped through ahead of everyone, mainly to check if Dezzi was ready? "The girls are all gathered, you rented somewhere for the sleepover, yes?" she grinned. After all this was FAR too many people to crash in Dezi's apartment.
By far.

By far.

"I think he was trying to kiss Dezzi." Reason said, watching the dejected boy leave, "Regardless, I doubt it? Hopefully this will burst his bubble."
no subject
"And he was an idiot," Ino snorted, dragging Sakura back to the dance floor.
Neiji watched the boy leave, then watched him through the walls a bit before nodding, "apologies for stepping in." But Hinata was HIS task here so, yeah.
no subject
Reason nodded at Ino's commentary, then glanced at Neiji, "It's fine, as long as you don't initiate touching. If someone swings at you, or runs into you, you're good. Otherwise they might try to sue, and that would get complicated. Way above our paygrade, however." She didn't do her usual size-them-up glance, she'd been briefed, so instead she just said, "Want me to send a drink up to the rafters for you? Water, soda...?" not alcohol. He was obviously on duty.
no subject
He nodded slightly at the rules, he could work within those, easily. "No, thank you for the offer though." He had anything he needed for this event! "This 'suing' seems a larger issue in this world than I had heard."
no subject
"Is a litigatous society," Reason allowed, "A lot of the really rich use lawyers and the threat of the courts to get their way. A lot of other people try to sue non-humans because of their beliefs. Luckily, all of you count as foreign dignitaries and can't be sued in most cases."
no subject
Neiji absorbed that a moment then nodded again slightly, "I will report that fact." So Tsunade could decide what she wanted to research in that regard.
no subject
Reason nodded as well, "Let one of the servers know if you need anything."
no subject
"How far is the boy suppose to go once ejected?" he asked, eyes distant and unfocused.
no subject
"As long as he stays outside we can't do anything." Reason said with a shrug, "If he starts something outside we can only call the police." She'd rather not do that.
no subject
"Ah, your authority ends at the walls here?" he mused. That seemed poorly planned out but he'd just stay vigilant!
no subject
"It does. We have people who are supposed to be dedicated to keeping everyone safe, police, who have authority outside the building."
no subject
"Yes, the city patrolmen," he nodded, more confirming they had gotten that information and that he could recognize said patrollers at need but...the boy had seemed particularly disturbed.
no subject
"Yes." Reason agreed, "It's...not great, I admit it, but it's better than it used to be."
no subject
"I will inspect the vehicle before the party leaves," he nodded, because better wasn't perfect and no telling what the scorned boy would do. And he was trying to ignore just how much fun Tenten was having out on the floor learning to grind...
no subject
"Hmmm. Yes. I'll do the same. I was a mechanic when I was in college." she agreed.
The boy that Tenten was grinding on was very enthusiastic about grinding back, grinning the closed-lip grin of someone with fangs trying not to look angry instead of happy.
no subject
"We will welcome your expertise," he noted stiffly, his eyebrow only twitching a little at the display behind him. He was here on duty, he was here on duty...

Damn it all.
"This is unexpectedly complicated."

Dezzi pulled Hinata over to someone her age, "This is my cousin Sam! She's in the running for being alpha when it's my generation!"
"You could be too!"
"I am moving to another world where I will not be an alpha and I am fine with that!"
no subject
"Ahno...hello," Hinata smiled at the girl. "The Inuzuka clan is truly c-caring for Dezzi and she will have a v-very good life with us!"

Dezzi shrugged, "Happily, even as a diplomat I don't have to know what's going on at that level. The real diplomats are doing all the legal stuff."
